Systems Thinkers in STEM Ambassador – Human Health

 

Vedhika completed several STiSA courses and then applied her learning to conduct her own research. Vedhika explored adolescent oral health through a systems lens, examining how factors like diet, access to care, stress, and health literacy interact to shape outcomes. Through her project, she identified key disparities and developed ideas for prevention strategies to improve oral health outcomes for teens. Vedhika hopes to continue exploring the intersection of public health and dentistry and is passionate about using research to create meaningful community impact.
