Environmental Systems in the Outdoors Research Experience

Inspired from my love for baking and events done during the ESORE program, I wanted to do a project on bacteria in the air caused by increasing urbanization and the effects on plant life. Having lived in four different cities in three states, I have seen the environments of nearby beaches, plains, and forests. This gives me a broad view on how different communities treat their environments and what plant life looks like in different regions. My goal with this project is to bring awareness on the effects of major activities such as tourism and construction to the plants in Washington. Hopefully leading to the inspiration of others to seek out changes/alternatives and to learn from my experiment and research.
