Environmental Systems in the Outdoors Research Experience

My name is Marcus Yeung and I am a junior at Seattle Preparatory School. I have a strong passion for the sciences and founded my school’s first science club last year. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, skiing, reading, listening to music, and playing tennis. I am always eager to learn and enjoy problem-solving through challenges that come my way.

From ESORE, I learned how interconnected environmental systems are, and that every component of a system contributes to emergent properties that are greater than the sum of the parts. For my project, I decided to write a paper reviewing and discussing some new findings on how climate change affects the evolution of populations.
