Systems Thinkers in STEM Ambassador – Environmental with Health Applications

I am a junior at Eastlake High School with a passion for bioengineering. For my project, I completed a research paper and an educational animated video on the molecular, ecological, and scientific significance of bioluminescence. I chose bioluminescence because I’ve always been fascinated by how organisms can produce their own light through unique processes. I’ve also always loved mixing art with science to create more public awareness of complex phenomena and encourage ambition in STEM. I aspire to combine my passion for science and creativity to contribute to innovations in bioengineering and inspire others to explore the biological sciences.
