Brenda How

North Creek High School – Bothell, Washington
Class of 2022
Tier 2 Course: Bioengineering a Sustainable World – Cohort 2

Hi! My name is Brenda How and I am currently a senior at North Creek High School. Through my ambassadorship at ISB, I had the opportunity to further my understanding of different biological systems and explore certain environmental issues (such as acid rain) that impact algae growth and production through my project experiments. Furthermore, I learned about sustainability through a systems thinker approach to pinpoint important factors on an individual level. Apart from ISB, I am currently involved in my third year of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), where I have participated in events such as Public Health and Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking. Ultimately, I have found a personal heightened interest in areas such as biotechnology and oncology. With the goal to always elevate my learning, I hope to make a positive impact in my community and educate others.
