Environmental Systems in the Outdoors Research Experience

My name is Anya Ceballos-Baliga, I’m a senior at Garfield High School in Seattle. I love plants and studying their behaviors, as well as their relationships to coexisting organisms in different environments. My passion for plants inspired me to pursue a career in biology or ecology to study plants and their environments. For fun, I enjoy my time volunteering at the zoo, running and being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. I strive to make positive change in my community by speaking out and connecting with my communities. At ESORE, I was given the opportunity to work with 11 other amazing individuals and learn about different environmental topics and their unique effects on our environment. I was also given the privilege to meet and speak with professionals to learn more about their experiences and research in the field.
