Systems Thinkers in STEM Ambassador – Human Health Projects

Ana Elisa Tamayo-Rousseau (she/her) is a senior at The Downtown School in Seattle, Washington. She is interested in studying biology and dance in college and particularly enjoyed the Systems Thinkers in STEM Ambassadorship program because she was able to connect both of her passions. Outside of school and dance, she enjoys baking, being in nature, and spending time with friends and family. Her project is a research review paper that focuses on the gut microbiome in dancers and analyzes the function of various bacteria. She hopes to continue finding meaningful connections between her passions as she moves forward in her career.
