The SEE Team is multi-disciplinary and dynamic. The size of our team ranges from 5-50 people depending on our summer programming. During the academic year, three full-time staff members (Claudia, Miranda and Sara) work with a wide range of scientists, engineers, web developers and educational researchers. Currently, Barb and Mari are our year-round teacher scholars who helps us create, field-test and optimize our SEE Modules. Becky was the SEE Program Manager and now is back in the classroom full-time. She remains connected with us to finalize our Systems Medicine curriculum. Serdar and Wei-ju are primarily scientific researchers and developers who also support our web and technology infrastructure. Our volunteers work on unique and collaborative projects that support numerous aspects of our program.
The SEE Team works throughout all ISB departments and lab groups. We work with all members of the Baliga Lab and collaborate closely with the Logan Center for Education. We also work closely with these groups within ISB: Gibbons Lab, Hadlock Lab, Heath Lab, Health Data Science Lab, Hood-Price Lab, Mortiz Lab, Shmulevich Lab, and Subramanian Lab.
Together, we work with teachers and students across the nation to achieve our purpose of cultivating interdisciplinary skills for solving complex problems. This can only be completed by broadening participation in STEM so that communities historically underrepresented in STEM have a consistent voice that is heard and incorporated. If you are interested in joining our team, please read more about our program from the For Teachers, For Students and For Partner pages. See our History and Alumni pages to learn more about the growth and change within our team since 2003.
The SEE Team would not be possible without our Funding Partners.
And we would not be where we are without our previous Team Members. The talented people below joined ISB and SEE at instrumental times throughout the years. They all left their positive mark on SEE programming and remain close collaborators.
